Q&A

What was the first job you had?

I worked as a cashier at my parents’ delicatessen on the UC Davis campus at age 11, rounding up change using an old school cash register.

What attracted you to TSG?

The people! Everyone I met with were very kind and welcoming. It felt like the small mom and pop shop I grew up knowing. The success of the business also attracted me. I wanted to be a part of something great.

If you were to start your own business, what would it be and why?

Since childhood, I have always wanted to start my own cosmetics line, calling it “RANI”, the nickname given to me by my departed mother.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

My husband, our four children, son in-law, and grandson. They are the ones who drive me.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Always keep a forward momentum. Keep going until you cannot go any further.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?

My husband! As a serial entrepreneur himself, Emile encourages and guides me on a daily basis, pushing me to step outside of my comfort zone.
