Before joining TSG Consumer Partners, Jordan worked in Blackstone’s Hedge Fund Solutions group where he invested across the capital structure in public and private companies across a variety of sectors. He graduated cum laude with a BA in Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University.
Q&A
What was the first job you had?
The summer before starting high school, I worked the grill at a pool in my hometown. After a few too many hot summer days spent standing over a grill, I signed up to get my lifeguard certification and switched to sitting in a chair by the water for the next four summers!
What attracted you to TSG?
I’m passionate about innovative consumer brands and the people behind them. After spending an increasing amount of my personal time studying these brands and meeting some of the founders building them, I jumped at the chance to join TSG and merge this personal passion with my career as an investor. Not only does TSG have an impressive track record, but it is filled with talented, humble people that share this passion for consumer brands and working alongside entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Never stop learning,” from my 92-year-old grandfather who still takes classes at the college he graduated from 70 years ago.
If you were to start your own business, what would it be and why?
One day I plan to open a deli, inspired by the incredible New Jersey delis I grew up around. I’m already working on the menu, so if you have any interesting sandwich ideas, I’m all ears!
