What brings you the most joy in your job?
When a brand partner is happy with my work!
How would you describe your working style?
Editorial projects are both a collaborative and individual endeavor. When working with our brand partners, I start by asking a lot of questions to get a feel for who they are and the messaging they want to convey. I’ll also put my consumer hat on and think about the content I’d want to have if I was a prospective or current customer. Then, I try to put all of that into words and go back and forth with our brand partners until it’s just right.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Raising my daughter, who is (usually) a ray of sunshine. A related part two to that question would be maintaining some semblance of work-life balance so that she and I (and my husband) get to do all the things we love. She’s only in kindergarten, but so far, so good!
What was the first job you had?
I babysat when I was in junior high, but my first “real” job was as a coach on my summer swim team when I was in high school. I worked with the youngest kids, age six and under, on everything from kicking and bubble blowing to stroke refinement and diving. I was just as excited as they were when they made it all the way across the pool in their first swim meet!
What makes TSG different than other places you’ve worked?
The super-talented team. Everyone here is an expert in their field and I have learned so much from being around them. People are passionate about what they do, they don’t cut corners, and they welcome opinions from anyone willing to give them.
