SAN FRANCISCO, CA, December 06, 2006 – TSG Consumer Partners LLC (“TSG”), the nation’s leading private equity investor specializing in acquiring and building branded consumer companies, successfully completed an offering of $875 million in Limited Partnership Interest subscriptions in its fifth and newest fund, TSG5.
“TSG5 was substantially oversubscribed by current TSG Limited Partners without us having to engage in a formal fund raising effort,” said Mr. Esserman, a founder and the CEO of the firm. “It speaks to the fact that experience as well as a long term track record of success really matters.”
TSG’s Managing Partners include James L. O’Hara, Alexander S. Panos, M. Hadley Mullin and Yasser U. Toor as well as Mr. Esserman. J. Gary Shansby, who founded TSG with Mr. Esserman, serves as chairman of the firm.
