Colin Welch Joins TSG As Partner And Managing Director
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – April 5, 2016 – TSG Consumer Partners ("TSG"), a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on the branded consumer sector, today announced that Colin Welch has joined the firm as a Partner and Managing Director, where he will focus on transactions in the consumer sector. He will be based in New York.

Mr. Welch has more than 20 years of experience identifying attractive investment opportunities and advising companies in the consumer and retail sectors, both domestically and internationally. Previously, Mr. Welch was President and Chief Operating Officer of Financo LLC and CEO Financo Europe, where he focused on growth capital raising and strategic advisory across a wide range of sub-sectors in the consumer industry, including fashion apparel, footwear and accessories, luxury goods, beauty and personal care, specialty retail, food retail and direct-to-consumer. His transaction experience includes private and public company sales and buy-side acquisitions, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, leveraged buy-outs, public and private debt capital raising in both the investment-grade and high-yield markets. Prior to Financo, Mr. Welch held a variety of investment banking roles at Credit Suisse Europe, Lehman Brothers Europe, J.P. Morgan, and Montgomery Securities. He began his career serving in various roles at Neiman Marcus Stores. Mr. Welch has an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a Board Member of the Parsons School of Design and a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Business.
